It's amazing to me...

It's amazing to me what a talk can do.

I recently had a friend tell me he wanted to write a book that teaches young men how to succeed when the odds are stacked against them. I asked, who really is gonna read your book? I told him your target audience have other things on their mind besides reading. Then I caught myself, I thought who am I to question the want or need for troubled youth to do better. I realized sometimes you gotta just hear yourself say stupid shit in order to redirect your thinking in the right path. Had I never had that conversation I would have never had the chance to reflect on a bias that clearly was looming in my mind. You can't address a thought, issue, concern,etc. until you vocalize it. Conversation is the BEST way to learn. Most of my life long lessons were taught through conversation. Everyone has a story, everyone has opinions, the more you are able to listen and share your thoughts the more you know. No book can teach you the art of conversation, you just have to grab it by the horns and ride. So I charge everyone to share your thoughts, experiences, and lessons of life because "Experience precedes essence".
